What’s Included in the Rainwater Harvesting Kit?
- A 50-gallon capacity Ivy rain barrel.
Measurements: 42.5”H x 22.5”D. - Black lid with bug-proof screen, ring and two releasable zip ties.
- 3/4” ball valve – easily connects to standard garden hose.
- Two built in overflow ports. Primary overflow directs water away from foundation. (Use overflow hose to link additional barrel!)

What is Rainwater Harvesting?
Rainwater harvesting is the process of collecting and storing rainwater for various uses, such as irrigation and domestic use (non-potable). It involves capturing runoff from surfaces like roofs and channeling it into storage tanks, cisterns, or other collection systems.
How much water can I actually save from harvesting rainwater from my roof?
About 600 gallons of water can be conserved with just one inch of rain (on a 1,000 square foot roof).

Rain Barrel Tips
- Keep barrels tightly sealed and use mosquito dunks (pet‑safe) if needed.
