The Lone Star Groundwater Conservation District will host a Public Meeting on proposed Desired Future Conditions of Groundwater Management Area 14:

Groundwater Management Area 14 includes: Brazoria County Groundwater Conservation District, Lower Trinity Groundwater Conservation District, Bluebonnet Groundwater Conservation District, Lone Star Groundwater Conservation District, and Southeast Texas Groundwater Conservation District.

The proposed Desired Future Conditions and supporting materials including summaries of public comments are available “Here”.

Software Update Notice

Dear Well Owner,

We are writing to let you know that the Lone Star Groundwater Conservation District’s online software system will be unavailable while we complete scheduled updates.

Downtime schedule:

Friday, October 9 starting at 5:00 pm through Monday, October 12 at 5:00 pm.

What this means for you:

• The online portal will be unavailable during this time frame.
• This applies to both exempt and non-exempt well owners.
• Permit applications scheduled for the October 20 Board meeting will not be affected.

If you need assistance during this time, please call us at 936-494-3436 or email permitting@lonestargcd.org. Our office remains open 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday.

We appreciate your patience as we work to improve our system.

Next LSGCD Board of Directors Meeting Rescheduled to October 20

Please note that the date of our upcoming Lone Star GCD Board of Directors meeting has been changed to October 20, 2026, beginning with a Special Meeting at 5:45 PM. The meeting notice and agendas will be posted once they become available.

Lone Star GCD Closed in Observance of Labor Day

Please note that the Lone Star GCD Office will be closed on Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day. We will reopen on Tuesday, September 8 and resume regular business hours.

The Permit Hearing and Regular Board of Directors Meeting will also take place on August 11 and will begin at 6:00 PM.

Notice is hereby given to all interested persons within Montgomery County, Texas: That the Board of Directors of the Lone Star Groundwater Conservation District (LSGCD) will hold a Show-Cause Hearing on Enforcement Matters pursuant to District Rule 12.5 on August 11, 2026, at 4:00 p.m., at the District’s office located at 655 Conroe Park North Dr., Conroe, TX 77303.

Notice of Hearing on Contested Enforcement Matters

Notice is hereby given to all interested persons within Montgomery County, Texas: That the Board of Directors of the Lone Star Groundwater Conservation District (LSGCD). will hold a Hearing on Petitions Contesting Notice of Violations pursuant to District Rule 13.4 on August 11, 2026 at 4:00 p.m., following the Show Cause Hearing at the District’s office located at 655 Conroe Park North Dr., Conroe, TX 77303.

Notice of Hearing on Desired Future Conditions

LSGCD will also hold a Public Hearing and accept Public Comment on the Proposed Desired Future Conditions (DFCs) for the Gulf Coast Aquifer underlying Montgomery County, Texas, in accordance with section 36.108(D-2) of the Texas Water Code. The hearing will take place on August 11, 2026, at 4:00 p.m., following the Hearing on Contested Enforcement Matters

The purpose of the hearing is to provide interested members of the public the opportunity to appear and provide comments to the Lone Star GCD related to the proposed DFCs.

Comments on proposed DFCs may be submitted by email to info@lonestargcd.org, with the following email subject: “Public Comments on Proposed DFCs – [Submitter Name/Company Name]”.
